Media Cleaner Pro is a tool that detects unused and useless files from your WordPress. It cleans up your media library and downloads directory. What exactly does the plugin do? The plugin checks if: the physical file is attached to the media library, the media file is used in the post, the media file is used in a custom post field, the media file is used in the WordPress post gallery, the retina of the media file (under the retina screen) has a regular file (the file without @2x). In case of a mismatch with the specified checks, the plugin will mark the found files, which can be deleted later. Which items to check is set in the plugin settings.
